EFM, the Expansion Front of Madagascar, has found crucial evidence that someone has systematically falsified the land area of the three most important islands, in matter of size, of the southern hemisphere. Obviously, islands continually change sizes. But in this case there is no indication of a natural reason for these profound alterations. As scheduled below, New Guinea and Borneo have allegedly increased during the last thirty years, whilst Madagascar has decreased by 5187 sq km. Note that especially New Guinea has grown intensely - and increased its size by a spectacular 5,6 %!
World Atlas 1962:
New Guinea | 785.000 sq km |
Borneo | 734.000 sq km |
Madagascar | 591.560 sq km |
Encarta 1996:
New Guinea | 828.800 sq km |
Borneo | 734.325 sq km |
Madagascar | 586.373 sq km |
We believe that Madagascar has been the victim of a vicious conspiracy by people connected to the governments of Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, Brunei, Malaysia or the Philippines. This has probably been done to maintain dominance on the prestigous list of the largest islands in the world.
In order to reveal the manipulation we have contacted geographers and historians for assistance. And - as expected - they are already finding evidence in their initial work, supporting our theory of a cover-up.
A German geographer from the University of Frankfurt, who wishes to remain anonymous due to fear of being targeted by political groups, calculates the true size of Madagascar to be 588213 sq km (possibly somewhat larger but not more than 600000 sq km). That sounds reasonable - compare to above. He believes the land area of Borneo to be 737551 sq km suggesting that the possible fraud has been fairly modest.
However, a darker secret was revealed. Having investigated the sources used to calculate the size of New Guinea, our geographer discovered a great many irregularities. Nothing matched! He spent hours and hours trying to come to the bottom of this and came up with a very interesting estimate.
Land area of New Guinea: 774000 sq km! This is an average estimate, the cheating may be worse. He considers the maximum size to be 798000 sq km. The minimum size - and this is exciting - is 751000 sq km, just slightly larger than Borneo. Compare the 774000 to Encarta's 828800 sq km. By the way, notice how it just happens to end on 800...
We will bring you more news as they unfold about our work to uncover the misdeeds of New Guinea and perhaps Borneo. Not the islands themselves as they are not independent but people sympathetic to them.
It is time to stop the harassment against Madagascar!
