We want to enlarge the island of Madagascar in an easterly direction towards Mauritius and Réunion (the Mascarene islands) that are situated about 500 miles from Madagascar, and thus improving her status as the fourth largest island in the world. In acknowledgement of Greenland's size, our initial ambition is to make Madagascar the largest island of the southern hemisphere, i.e. the second largest island in the world.
